Nice article. I had known the kid had been around, but never knew what he went thru, and that these problems were not of his own origination. He is a good kid. He doesnt showboat and he always plays hard with a huge smile on his face.

RE: Wes Johnson's Strange Path to Syracuse
I was reading an article either on ESPN.com or CNNSI.com talking about the top players in the NBA draft. The one NBA scouts had Wesley Johnson as the number 3 rated player and two NBA scounts had Wesley Johnson as the number 2 rated player. They compared him to a more athletic version of Shawn Marion which in my books is high praise for him as Shawn Marion has been in the league for 10 years and has been a multiple all star selection. Boeheim has stated, that Wesley Johnson is the hands down the nicest kid he has ever coached. That is high praise from Boeheim because he has been known to be tough on kids to make them better.
If he is going to be drafted in the top 3, I hope he makes himself eligible for the NBA draft. Boeheim will tell him to go to the NBA if he is sure Wesley Johnson will be a lottery pick. Boeheim has a lot of friends in the NBA so he will have a good idea where Johnson would be drafted.
