GMAC Bowl: Blakeney says Troy, CMU offenses mirror each other

In preparing for its GMAC Bowl game against Mid-American Conference champion and No. 25-ranked Central Michigan, Troy head coach Larry Blakeney said watching video of the Chippewas is akin to looking in a mirror.

"Preparing for these guys is almost like preparing for yourself," Blakeney said. "They do a lot of the same things that we do. They have a great quarterback (Dan LeFevour) and good receivers and they're a really good team. We know we're going to have to play well against them."

One of the aspects of preparing for the Chippewas that Blakeney and his staff worked on was CMU's quick-pace offense.

"We'll have a lot of tempo work put into each practice," he said.
