After Devin Ebanks added 14 points and 13 rebounds, coach Huggins joked during his post-game radio show that Ebanks nearly had a triple-double with seven turnovers...

That sounds like typical Huggs. Never be satisfied, and you don't get those 'down' games...

Classic Bob Huggins. My favorite Huggs moment was in 2002, when we were #5 and we were at, #17 Wake Forest, and UC was jumping Wake early and they called mysterious fouls on our players, and Huggins, actually calmly, asked what was that, and he got hit with a technical. And you could hear him yell to the referee "Do you want us to leave?" And I think he said, we can get the buses ready if you want, basically calling them out because they were ACC officials. Great stuff! And don't forget UC losing to Arizona on a Miles Simon 90 foot shot at the buzzer, and the cameras went to the back locker room, and it was empty, but someone had punched a hole in a chalkboard.

I remember the Miles Simon shot....good grief. Of course, we had a 7 or 8 pt lead with about 3 min left and the real reason they got that close in the final seconds was thanks to Dickerson? coming off the bench and hitting 2 or 3's in a row.

I hated that game.....punks

Huggins post game comments used to be every bit as much of a part of the experience as the games. A personal favorite of mine was when he called Tony Bobbitt a 3 o'clock all american because he lit people up in practice and would play like crap in the games(during his junior year). In one of his last years here when we played Memphis, Cal came over and did Huggs' post game show with him. When you get those two together it is unbelievably funny.

That was great, because somebody in the upperdeck was giving Huggs a hard time (in a funny way), and they were joking about it. It was hilarious.

"You know Chuck I can't figure it out. Time and time again I tell them don't leave that guy open, he can light it up. And what do we do? We leave him open all night. Chuck, I can't figure out what is wrong with these guys. It's like we're stupid Chuck. We don't LISTEN. That's our problem. We had a bad practice, so I knew we would have a bad game. We're not a very good team Chuck."
