2010 OOC...Need your help
I put up the 2010 version of my site and had a fair amount of the Big East OOC schedule ready to go, but I don't have everything because I couldn't find dates for everything. So I'm asking for your help. Here's what I have

Cincy - 9/4 at NC State, 9/11 vs. Miami (OH), 9/18 at Fresno St., 9/25 vs. Oklahoma (PBS), 1 opponent unknown (Indiana St.???)

Conn - 9/4 at Michigan, 9/11 vs. Texas Southern, 9/18 at Temple, 9/25 vs. Buffalo, 10/2 vs. Vanderbilt

UofL - 9/4 vs. Kentucky, 9/11 vs. Eastern Kentucky, 9/18 at Oregon St., TBA vs. Memphis, TBA at Arkansas St.

Pitt - 9/4 vs. New Hampshire, 9/11 at Utah, 9/25 vs Miami (FL), 10/2 vs. FIU, 10/9 at Notre Dame

RU - 9/4 at FIU, 9/25 vs. North Carolina, 10/16 vs. Army (Meadowlands), TBA vs. Norfolk St., TBA vs. Tulane

SU - 9/11 at Washington, TBA vs. Maine, TBA vs. Boston College, TBA at Akron, 1 unknown opponent

USF - 9/4 vs. Stony Brook, 9/11 at Florida, 9/25 vs. Western Kentucky, 10/2 vs. FAU, 11/27 at Miami (FL)

WV - 9/4 vs. Coastal Carolina, 9/11 at Marshall, 9/25 at LSU, 10/9 vs. UNLV, TBA vs. Maryland

What you have for WVU is correct, as far as I know. Every site posting WVU's schedule for next year has the same thing as you listed...

That's one off your shoulders... 04-cheers

What you have for Pitt is correct per the story published in the PG a few weeks ago, but there are very strong rumors that the Miami game will be moved to Thursday night 9/23. That seemingly could be accomplished with our 9/18 open date--unless the BE slides a conference game into that slot.

You don't need an open date before a Thursday game.

Duh, of course there is no rule that you need an open date before playing a Thursday night game; but it makes it easier to arrange if you do manage to be able to have one.

I also use SU's official website:
http://www.suathletics.com/sports/2009/2...h=Football

However, your link appears more detailed & up to date. For instance, SU hasn't even updated that with the Meadowlands games yet.

There have been rumors about future games with Nebraska, Penn State, Miami (FL), and Army... maybe somebody could check their respective schedules and see if any of them have open away dates for 2010?

EDIT: Why does the Scout link make a point to say the Washington game is "@ Seattle" in the comments section? Aren't all Washington home games in Seattle? Is this game being held somewhere besides Husky Stadium?

The Scout schedule is managed by "sutomcat44" but he gets inputs from all the board members. Some of the guys find out from SU sources but many times the dates will discovered from an opponent's press release. Often found by "orangeyes" daily scouring of all sports articles Syracuse and Big East. No idea why he put @Seattle. Haven't heard anything concrete about Neb, PSU and Miami. Some of these might be put on the back burner. Army I heard should be happening. A paradigm shift is happening at SU...expect to see a CAA team (1-AA) on the schedule every year now.

I'll tack on the Akron game on 9/18. Probably make a road trip to that one since their stadium is a little over an hour from my home.

The Washington game would have been a decent matchup of improving teams. It got tougher now that Jake Locker is staying for his senior year.

I should be going to Akron also. I expect to set up a tailgate there. We'll see you there. BTW, the date for Boston College in late November was confirmed via BC sources.

I'm pretty sure RU-Tulane is supposed to be on 9/11. Norfolk State is probably 9/18, but I guess could change if the conference schedule makes it necessary.

Boston College @ SU will be Thanksgiving Weekend (http://www.bcinterruption.com/2009/12/11...-against). Next year is the first of a long scheduled series between the two formal rivals (except for a 2-year break for SU to play Southern Cal) and most reports seem to indicate the game will be played on Thanksgiving Weekend every year to add to the wide array of rivalry games that are usually played that weekend.

Texas Southern will be UConn's 5th opponent, replacing the now defunct Northeastern FB team.
