hello again rockets
although we still have a game left, your next football game is against us to open 2010 right?

i know we open our season on 9/4/2010 @toledo for the 2nd installment of our 3 game series.

we're 8-4 now, #22 in the ap poll and have a holiday bowl date against nebraska. the sad part is that we could easily be 10-2 and in the rose bowl if it wasn't for a horrific call by the officials and a missed field goal.

but hey at least we beat asu (on the road, usc and pete carroll (on the road) and beat 4 other pac 10 teams.

we will return every skill player on our offense for 2010 except for our #3 receiver but will return our te rob gronkowski (who you didn't get a chance to meet in 2008, but will be a senior in 2010 after missing all of 2009 with a back injury).

should be a fun time in toledo to open 2010 :)

Big deal. We were 5-7 but if a couple plays hadn't gone our way we could easily have been 3 and 9, so there. 03-wink

Rockets open their season @Purdue 08-24-10.The UA game is Toledo's homeopener(Btw nice win over USC).Rockets will be a real different team than the one the Wildcats faced in 2008. New staff, new schemes etc.Good luck against the Huskers. Hope you come into the Glass Bowl highly ranked.Bring some of the UA tailgaters(the fun ones).Should be a great time.

Fixed it for you, Boca. Oh, and Go, Wildcats. Would have loved to see you beat the Bucks in the Rose Bowl but good luck in the one you got!

It'll be a shame to see you guys get your hopes for a perfect season crushed on your visit to Toledo.

Good luck against Nebraska!!!

haha good thing we don't have hopes for a perfect season next year with how dang tough the pac 10 is going to be. we just have hopes for a 10-3 type season and a holiday or rose bowl (if someone from the pac 10 goes to the title game).

but if you guys have having defensive woes like i've read around here, thats probably the worst thing that could happen for you. we'll likely have a top 10 offense in the nation next year.

Actually Toledo was a top 10 offense this year until they lost their starting QB with a torn rotator. Then the freshman QB went down.
Rockets still ended up with the #16 offense in the nation. The offense Arizona faced in 2008 ended up ranking #85.Made some progress this year and played alot of freshmen. Our overall team speed is much better.

We got a great running game but the coaches don't know about it yet, so that should make your game planning easier.

Injured most of the season, respectable replacements available.

Historically have been able to replace receivers with similar talents.

RE: hello again rockets
since when is a running back that ran for 1000 yards and 14 tds a guy that is "used to bring in plays only"?

sounds like he is a vital part to your offense. not many teams can lose their starting qb, starting rb and 2 best receivers and get better...maybe toledo can, but most teams can't. just sayin'.

Those were mostly after the decision or against EMU (or was it NIU) yards and tds.

i guess you have a point..

pre niu he had 453 yards and 4 tds
including niu and post niu he had 538 yards and 10 tds.

not a huge difference in the yards but in the tds yes.

either way, losing your leading rusher is never a positive.

Our 2nd team RB ran for over 1,000 yds as a freshman and had the second best rushing day in Division I(330 yds) before they pulled him out at the start of the 4th quarter in 2008.He only ran for 444yds in 2009, but managed 6.0 yards per attempt.UT is real solid at RB.
