congratulations Hurricanes :(
The chilly (for Tampa) wind blowing through Section 304* of RJ stadium felt a lot chillier, what with the Canes huge O-line pushing our over-hyped D-line all around the field pretty much all game long.
I was surprised at how much bigger and stronger the Canes lines were compared to ours, on both sides of the ball. They were just as fast as us at the skill positions, but much beefier in the trenches, and it showed.
I was surprised that Leavitt thought a hybrid-jitterbug attack, with BJ running frequently, was going to work against a fast, athletic defense.
And, with the Canes reportedly returning 1,000 or so tickets, i was surprised at how much orange and green there was in the stands. There was a LOT of it. Perhaps 1/4 to 1/3 of the crowd was hurricanes supporters. They may not have traveled from Miami, but a lot of them from the Tampa area showed up.
Oh well, that's the way our cookie has crumbled.
Go Bulls!
* made a mistake in an earlier post, tix were in 304 not 305.

Unfortunately that is the best we can do right now. We need to fix the OL problem on and off the field. BJ Daniels is a special talent....with a lot to learn....but the kid is a player. He just needs help and the reasonable expectation that he won't have to be running for his life every time he takes a snap.
IMO, if USF is going to keep running the spread it needs to figure out how to diversify the offense.
