RE: UCONN vs. Duke
UCONN has to finish plays. They still should be able to beat this Duke team.

UConn getting spanked by 03-puke

Had a sick feeling in my stomach this might happen when I saw that Arizona State had totally dismantled LSU earlier.

Huskies have no true outside shooting threats and the rebounding problems they had earlier against inferior teams is really getting exploited against a veteran Duke team. Also bad spacing on many of their fastbreak chances. It's could be a tough year for UConn.

Cheers,
Neil

RE: UCONN vs. Duke
Uconn had four stops but failed to score on the other end.

Duke plays so basic and unathletic they would lose to good shooting team. UCONN even missed a bunch of inside shots and fask breaks. Just a bad day for UCONN but I still expect a UCONN run in the final seven minutes.

RE: UCONN vs. Duke
Sorry BE. UCONN still got a lot to learn. Players went too much 1-on-1 today and forgot how to rebound and make free throws. Team will get better. Dyson and walker are not bad 3 point shooters. They just didn't do it today. Anyway, I think we really miss Thabeet and Adrien for rebounding.

Sign of the game - "Hey UCONN, Stick to Football". I thought that was classic.

What a stinker of a game. 03-puke

Our offense was offensive. Totally out of synch or any type of flow or cohesion. Duke just played their style of game and handed us our tails.

We still have lots of talent, and will get better as the season progresses IMO. But wow, this team has work to do.

Very sloppy and unispired. Calhoun should have had them run home from NYC. 03-lmfao Maybe this will be the game to wake them up. Kind of like LeMoyne did for cuse

UConn was outmatched in the game, which really surprised me. That doesn't bode well for the Huskies when they enter BEast play... 03-banghead

We were not outmatched. We were outsmarted but not outmatched. Duke players executed and played within their ability. UCONN tried to do too many 1 on 1 and did not execute. It is a young team with many new parts so it was expected. I was cautious about the game since I know Duke has a veteran team returning many players while UCONN is very young while losing top 3 players from last year.

You guys will be surprised how good UCONN will be by Feb/March. I have seen this with Calhoun team many times. They will improve as they always have in the past.

Height was not the issue. The tall guys on UCONN (Robinson, Charles O and Edwards and Alex Oriaki) are not used to rebounding because Thabeet and Adrien did all the rebounding last year. They got to learn and that's the problem. Anyway, UCONN is a big team that still need to learn how to rebound. It will take a little bit of coaching but those kids are not short.

The Huskies need Majok. Without a dominant big man, they look kind of lost...
