This game is over. Uconn can spank Duke next. Wouldn't it be something if Syr and Uconn beat Duke and UNC in BB and USF beat FSU and Miami in FB in this down year for the BEast.

This is why those BE basketball ranking is silly. Until those mid-tier BE teams face the real big dogs, it is silly to think they gonna win the BE now after a few wins over mid-tier BCS conference basketball teams. This UCONN team is still learning and got bunch of new parts. That being said, it is still big and athletic and skilled even without 6'11" Ater Majok who Calhoun compared to Donyell Marshall.

UCONN is 2-0 against Duke in the final four. Going through Duke both times on the way to their two national titles. I think these were the only meetings between these two teams. I'm sure this will be mentioned on Friday.

It will be a test for this young bunch. Imagine if we had Dyson last year against MSU in the final 4. Dyson was sorely missed.
Against Duke it will be an interesting match up. Duke is older and more experienced but UCONN got more athletic players.
Nothing will make me happier for UCONN to kick Duke's butt one more time. It will be a good game and MSG should be packed with UCONN fans on Fri.

RE: UCONN vs. LSU
LSU was no contest for UConn. The Tigers looked like a high school team at times against UConn...
And The BEast is "down"?

No, historically we've played the Dookies at least 5 times in the NCAA tourney (1964, 1990, 1991, 1999, 2004) and a couple times in regular season play (1994-95, 1999-2000). As far as I know every meeting has been at a neutral site.

It looks like Duke vs. UCONN for the Preseason NIT championship. Can't wait to see the Huskies go up against the usual over hyped Dookies.
Here is back to memory lane:

RE: UCONN vs. LSU
Uconn is going to have no trouble with the Duke team I saw last night. If those are the same Dookies that show up Friday it's going to be a blowout. Either way Uconn wins.
Uconn looks better than they did last year. Better shooters and really, really confident. They need to destroy Duke. I haven't watched them all year and I understand people are saying last night was their best game of the season- but damn they looked good. They must like national TV. Can't wait to see Coach K crying to the refs like he did in the two UConn/Duke final four games I remember. Oh, no, in the title game it wasn't coach K it was the Dook players that were crying. My bad.
The ACC will play out this season under the BE shadow if their top two teams are dominated by two top BE teams.

I am concerned how they call the game. Duke can get away with a lot. I don't think they can handle UCONN's athleticism. I hope UCONN will go full court press and run them off the floor. Anyway, it will be a good game and the guys should be up for it cause it is Duke. We got talent but some of the kids are still inexperienced.
