I'm off to Charleston
I'll be checking out WVU's basketball team tonight, while visiting the family for Thanksgiving. I'm hoping to get a press pass so I can go to the Backyard Brawl and watch the game from the press box. Otherwise, I'll be parked in front of my Dad's TV. Catch y'all L8r...

I may be out of touch for a while. I don't know if I'll be able to access a computer for while. I'll be fighting 19 kids for the opportunity, and I think that's a battle I'm going to lose...

I hope I can, animus. But I'm not sure just yet. After all, I just got home from the basketball game. I'd like to finally meet some of the folks on the board. But the old man isn't up to the drive, and I no longer drive due to the neurocardiogenic syncope, which has caused me to pass out behind the wheel 3 times in the last 13 years. I'm still trying to find a someone heading in that direction, because I've got a press pass thanks to the old man's connections. But it depends on whether or not I can get to Morgantown and back.

I'll let you know tomorrow if I can make it or not. If I can, we can meet wherever you like... 04-cheers:

Hoquista, I hope you see the Mountaineers win... 05-mafia

Mark, I'm not cooking, since I'm a guest. All the cooking is covered by someone other than myself, which is a good thing, since I'm not much for turkey. I prefer ham myself. So I have no worries about turkeys, except for those that invade this bbs.

Thanks for the sentiment, Husky. I appreciate it, and so does the wife, who's leaning over my shoulder at the moment...

Bit,

The best part of not being allowed to drive is being able to site see. Thought you would've known this by now. 05-stirthepot

We drove through eastern Kentucky, up US23 to US119, to my father's house on the top of a hill south of Charleston. There wasn't much worth seeing, except all the hills that I've seen thousands of times before. The only sight I saw that I felt was worth seeing was the old home place at the end of the trip...

Of course, the Mountaineer game was worth seeing too. But that came after the trip home, and I know the countryside there all too well, since I helped build some of those roads. Frankly, it looked better before the new roads were built. But the driving is far safer now...

I would've liked to have seen WVU play better too. They missed way too many wide open shots. But they still won easily. So it wasn't bad after all...
