SBC Power Ranking - Week 11
Here's the Sun Belt Conference Power Ranking after week 11:

1.) Troy (-) overmatched at Arkansas
2.) MTSU (-) shows UL-L they are for real
3.) ULM (-) near shocker 04-jawdrop v. Western
4.) ULL (-) Bayou battle next week
5.) FAU (+2) continues ASU's surprising demise
6.) FIU (-) gets 3rd Conf. W with 2nd half comeback
7.) ASU (-2) 1 conference W; but closes season with UNT & WKU
8.) UNT (-) beats FIU in every stat. but the scoreboard
9.) WKU (-) may be improving, 2 weeks for FAU

Extra: After USC's debacle, there are 3 teams vying for the last two at-large BCS Bids:

Boise St. - Unbeaten #6
Iowa - 2 losses #13
OK St. - 2 losses #12

Note: though LSU is ranked #8, one conference can only send a max. of 2 teams to a BCS Bowl.

Pitt is in the at-large hunt as well.

Isn't it a BCS rule you have to be selected if you are in the top 6? Or did they change that? I thought i remembered when Ohio St didn't have to worry one year because they were in the top 6, so they got an at-large.

RE: SBC Power Ranking - Week 11
First you take the six AQ champs plus the highest rated non-AQ champ rated 12 or better, and Notre Dame if #8 or better. Then anyone rated #3 from an AQ league that isn't a champion gets picked. If there is no AQ non-champion rated #3 then you take #4 if they are from an AQ and not a champion. After that the bowls can pick any top 12 they want as long as no more than 12 come from the same conference. If you are #3 and from the MWC, Big West WAC, C-USA, MAC or Sun Belt and you are the second highest rated non-AQ champion, you are in the at-large pool.

Yes you are correct. Don't you think, however, the loser of the Cincy v. Pitt game has little chance at an at-large?

If Pitt is the loser, they fall out of the top 12 and no longer relevant while Iowa or Penn State sneaks back in and with bigger crowds and bigger TV presence probably knock Boise out of the hunt. If Cincy is the loser they'll be top 12 but of little interest.
