I think it has more to do with culture than religion. Iranians come down here with no problems like that. Indian muslims also westernize pretty well.

Granting that you have something of a point, they use religious sanction as part and parcel of these "honor killings", so it very much has to do with both religion and culture. Indopak society itself has problems in recent years of throwing battery acid in the face of young women who don't toe the line. Persians that escape Iran now - Muslim or otherwise - mostly do so because they despise the Islamist leanings of the country, so there is bias in the sample that you have here.

So they leave their hole hole in Iraq only to come here and create another hell hole and you're OK with that. We inspect food that moves from state to state and from foriegn countries to here just to keep out some bug that doesn't belong from wiping out our crops. That thinking should apply to Muslims until they can show they work and play well with others.

What if the Muslim is from Israel? Or better yet, what if they are christians from Muslim countries. There are plenty in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and such.
