Left vs. Right - Is this fairly accurate?
OK, this looks fairly correct and fair to me, but I lean to the right. What are others' opinions of this?

Interesting, especially under Beliefs, Religion.
My Catholic scientist friend has a science degree undergrad from a Big Ten school, a Masters from a major Catholic university, and a Phd from an Ivy League school. I think of her when it is insinuated that the Theist turns his/her back on science.

its an idiotic talking point by the "Science/Reason" crowd, historically illiterate as well.

It is an overused, artificial division that has been perpetrated by both sides of the theist/nontheist division when it suits their purposes. The current trend in the religious right is to pretend it is an invention of nontheists, which it is not.

On the whole, the spectrum in the image may apply to about 60% of individuals. But, in terms of principal, it isn't valid. As GTS points out, they've arbitrarily assigned basic divides to left or right. Venezuela is about as nationalist as you get, and leftist. Most socialist countries are also nationalistic, making the chart a non-starter.

Right on.

This is one-dimensional, you need two dimensions to make it work. This puts libertarian under the left wing and it clearly doesn't belong there.

A few subtle things here and there make it clear where the author/developer's roots lie. But it's a decent starting point for discussion.

I saw "libertarian" falling on the right side.

I see it having several misconceptions about both liberals and conservatives.

I thought I saw it on the left side when I first looked at it, but now I don't see it at all.

Maybe the eyes go before the memory does, who knows.

I saw "libertarian" falling on the right side.

Fiscally, it fell on the right, but socially, it was on the left.

That's pretty much where I am. I find myself not agreeing with a couple of the left social concepts, but generally more left than right there, and almost 100% right on fiscal/economic issues.

I prefer the two-dimensional portrayals that show economic freedom along one axis and personal freedom along the other.

Somebody put one of those up on here a while back. Last time I checked, I was more liberal on the social issues, and more conservative on the economic issues, than anyone else who had posted. I think that's probably right.

My signature pretty much sums up my political philosophy.

At least both sides are overwhelmingly for unmarried sex.

Both sides support overwhelming, God and unmarried sex. Something is wrong here.

Interesting -- I think, -- I just wonder how many God believers think we will see the Destruction of Evil, in our lifetime.
