Lyle Alzado
Conrad Dobler

Alzado was mean but never a real issue. What did Dobler do?

The funny thing about Alzado is that I still clearly remember a picture in the Denver Post (my Dad put together the first weekly NFL section for the paper back in the 70s/80s) with Alzado sitting in front of a fire wearing a white sweater with two snow white dogs (Samoyyids, IIRC). His reputation with the Broncos was the polar opposite of what it was with the Raiders (at least for those of us in Denver). At that time, I don't think the extent to which he took steroids was well known ... ultimately he paid the price for that.

Dobler was a notorious cheap shot artist. I still blame him for paralyzing a Cardinals player, even though I'm not sure he played for the Raiders at the time - I'm pretty sure the incident was just a freak accident. I remember Dobler dragging QB's around (Norris Weese?) long after the play was over.

You are free to return to your bleating at any time .....

There's no telling what went on behind the scenes with NFL ownership.

Even if the reasons are based on Lies?

Rush on today's show, now free to speak on the background of this

He is the mirror all right. I hope he looks into that mirror and see his reflection in all the people he described that he is reflecting. He is taking him being removed from the group attempting to buy the Rams and turned it into submersive plot that goes all the way to the White House. I am going to start calling Rush Squealer.

It's comical that they'd say a racist was blacklisted.

Quote:"I have said many times before that we are all held to a higher standard here," the commissioner said. "I think divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about. I would not want to see those kind of comments from people who are in a responsible position within the NFL. No. Absolutely not."

Rush cannot be shocked at this whole situation. When you spend your adult life burning bridges, its gonna bite you in the arse.

Unless you're George Soros.

Oh, wait, he doesn't burn bridges, he burns bridges, the cities, and the states that maintain them.

But you know what sets them apart. Rush is a political Howard Stern, who makes a lot of money, while Soros actually does business.
