That latter event didn't happen prior to the alotted time for submissions (Feb 1).

Not that there is any surprise here, but they're frauds.

I think they should rename it the Homer Simpson Peace Prize, since its a meaningless award and all.

SInce it has no meaning, I choose to beleive it was given to Obama for extending Bush era policies such as the Patriot Act, International Terrorist Survaliance by NSA, Renditions, Drone attacks, etc. Which we know that multiple terrorist attacks have recently been thwarted, like under Bush, using these means, thus keeping the Peace.

I am happy Obama received the Prize because I love America and always respect the President, but even to you, an unabashed contrarian, doesn't the Prize Committee statement make you wonder?
