I don't see the point in most of your posts either. Whats your point? As for the story, there are many. One is "if you carry a gun, you are safer". Well, this is NOT a good example to support your case.

Well Robert, "She" was "Safer" ..... "She" murdered her husband and was not Shot until "She" Shot Her Self.

So your argument is moot.

And who knows, maybe Hubby was coming at her with a Running Chain Saw and she blew him away, then she could not stand the pain of losing him and did her self in.

I mean if we are just tossing out conjecture here and all .........

There is certainly irony in the story. Packing heat to your kids soccer game only to take a bullet yourself. I guess it also fuels the fact that those carrying guns are more likely to be shot themselves than those that are unarmed.

I also thoroughly enjoy the good dr. pointing out the shortcomings liberal leaning posts while turning a blind eye to the crap posted by the conservatives.

She was killed by her husband. How many people don't feel safe around their spouse? This type of violence will always be with us. If it wasn't a gun, it would be a knife. ..or a bat....or a wrench....or strangulation....or any number of means.

How do you turn a blind eye to the fact the millions of people carry guns everyday and don't get shot.

Maybe check out The Difference Between Conservatives and Liberals

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he feels that no one should have one.

In all seriousness, my only thoughts when seeing that are of schools and shopping malls, and that I hope that weapon is one of a kind.

It is a Military Weapon

Just Devloped and tested the FRAG-12 High-Explosive Round

The AA12/FRAG-12 Weapon System will be a potent tool for urban warfare operations and counter-insurgency operations.

Combining the FRAG-12 HE with the new 3-inch Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) shotgun, which fires full-auto at 300 rpm (rounds-per-minute) will transform the combat capability for infantry combat shotguns.

A fully automatic shotgun firing High Explosive Frag-12 Rounds deploying a 20-round capacity drum. Now that’s some fire power designed to enhance combat effectiveness in urban areas by stopping vehicles before the vehicle reaches a checkpoint, door breaching from a safe distance, remote detonation of potential bomb threats and remote detonation of unexploded ordnance.

ok. Just the thought of an automatic weapon firing buckshot looks like a recipe for indiscriminate killing. I couldn't see much utility for a weapon like that without your explanation.

Check out the Swiss gun control law. Then check out the incidence of gun crime in Switzerland. While you're at it, take note of the burglary rate.
