RE: Obama's approval ratings up 6%
Does anyone know how much money is being spent to push Obamacare. I see this as a reason for the uptick. He paraded 150 Dr.s in WHITECOATS pushing his agenda. He is using word poll data just as Pavlov used a Bell.

SOAF, you're probably onto something there. These guys are much more into manipulating public opinion than they are into doing anything good.

The ends justify the means. Whats Air Fare and Expenses for 150 doctors. Obama even bought WHITECOATS for them to wear for the photo-op.

Yeah, something funny is going on. After being very quiet about Obama's drop in the polls, I am suddenly deluged with headlines and stories of polls that show him surging ahead, and widespread support for his medical overhaul.

I don't believe it. Nothing happened for 3 weeks on this issue, and suddenly the US reversed itself?

No, this is selective polling to provide justification for legislators votes.

Fixed

If you actually remember the unemployment numbers last year and up to December, you'd see how unbelievably stupid your little "fix" is.

The Dow is up, but that's not a major part of most people's lives, and the other things going on are all pretty negative.

TV Talk shows. In general, the poll data should represent the public push that Obama made with widespread appearances on Sunday Morning shows, Late Night TV, etc. That push was intended primarily to advance the health care agenda, but poll numbers are both part of that same effort and affected in the same way.

.

I believe they simply called up all the Institutions for the Criminally Insane and Polled the Inmates .....

This is just a Thorazine up-tic is all.

And yes, during one short moment, one poll had The Father at 45%.

It won't be low enough for me until this sucker is waving good-bye to the White House for the last time from Marine One after the 2012 Elections.

Agree. Until then we just need enough dems and united republicans to act as goalies blocking all of The O's slap shots. So far it's working, it's been how many months and what has he done other than insult a police department, abuse Air Force One, terrorize NYC, apologized for America, and humiliated himself with that Olympic thing? Really, what has he done? Voting "Present" doesn't work at this level.

His numbers are up only because people are happy none of his crap is passing. His inability to get a job done is beneficial, considering his agenda. Therefore, the public is approving his incompetence. 03-idea

Digs at Obama's competence aside, I'm genuinely worried about the ubiquity of these polls showing support for Obama.

They will be used to justify passing his agenda. And people will just accept that it was the "will of the majority."

Let it all pass.
Then let everything crater next year.
I think it's going to crater whether or not any of this passes, might as well have it in place and be able to blame it for the crash.
That might get us on the road to sensible policy.
I don't see that happening otherwise.

Once a structure is in place, it's hard to get rid of. These people fight like mad to keep their bureaucratic institutions and positions, and politicians on the right compromise and let them persist.

I agree also. Every time I hear that SOB, I want to throw up. Everything he says is lies, lies and more lies, and people are just following him like sheep to slaughter. America has been changed, and not for the better. It's the same greed just different ways and different people.

That's a huge risk. I don't think we will dodge it completely. But I do think the crash of '10 will be bad enough to discredit a lot of the wrong-headed philosophy, and over the generation following perhaps we will turn far enough away to solve this.

People are being lied to, and they are believing the lies because the lies are what they WANT to hear. At some point the truth has to manifest itself.

Being president is sorta like being a community organizer except there are consequences.

I can't afford a crash of '10. I've been on fumes for 2 years.
