Quinn has been with Kelly since day one that Kelly became a head coach. I don't think he has the desire to go elsewhere.

We don't hold the Lelo thing against you folks at USF. He had done about everything he could with the baseball program here. It was simply time for a change. He's been good for ya'll and Coach Mac has been real good for us. That's been a win - win for everyone.

Longest by a thread. He has roving eyes and ears for other schools and has even interview at some a la Georgia Tech.

He interviewed at GTECH to get a better contract and he got that. Where is he coaching now? 11 years is a long time for any BCS coach. I don't think UCONN has too many problems hiring a good coach based on our track record along in all major sports. At least we are not overpaying for a coach 03-lmfao.

Turner Gill would be a great hire as well.

I don't believe Louisville will go down the "up and comer" path again. The last time hasn't worked out too well for us. Louisville will go after a name coach. Somebody that's out of coaching looking for a job or unhappy where they are.

From everything I hear and see I believe it will be Tuberville. Only time will tell.

I honestly think Fulmer would do better at UL than Tuberville.

However, Tommy West really has what it takes to take UL to a national championship.

RE: My Wish List For the New Coach
Okay, I've narrowed my wish list down. If we go after someone who isn't a retread I want either...

Jeff Quinn or Kevin Wilson.

But we'll need OC and DC with good Florida & Southeast ties to get us back into FL, Bama, and GA for recruiting. Maybe one that can get us in good in the OH, PA, NJ, VA area too.

LOL @ the idea of Kelly leaving UC for Louisville. Kelly is getting Urban Meyer-type buzz for a big time job, a Notre Dame or something close. He certainly wouldn't be leaving for Louisville.

For the right amount of money he would. I'm not saying The Ville's pockets are that deep, but you're kidding yourself if you think he can't be bought.

Who has deeper pockets: Louisville or Notre Dame?

I'm responding to army56mike. He thinks UL could land Kelly. I don't.

RE: My Wish List For the New Coach
I don't either. But what does Notre Dame have to do with this issue, other than the fact that many Irish fans want Weis out and Kelly in? Notre Dame at present isn't looking for a coach, and Louisville is. Also, in case you haven't noticed, most are sarcatic comments directed at people who are jumping at every name in the book...

So like I said, who cares? Kelly isn't a realistic prospect. He's just a wish by people who haven't a clue...

Notre Dame has way deeper pockets. I don't dispute that. But what I'm sayin' is the man could be bought for the right price. UofL couldn't offer that amount, but if we could generate it, he'd come. He'd do it for any BCS school that showed him the money. There is no loyalty in college any longer.
