If the Economy starts getting better with the Business cycle coming around, Interest rates will go up. ARMS will reset and Housing goes under again.

I see no evidence of the business cycle picking up. All of the "good news" has been due to either cooking the books (booking orders on one month to look as if things are rising, but then there's an 'unexpected' downturn on the next month) or due to gov't purchases.

Commercial purchases are down.

Unemployment is high.

Real estate losses are increasing.

Banks are failing. The FDIC is insolvent. The above points are making this worse.

Wouldn't suprise me if the Business Cycle comes around, in spite of everything else and post some GDP gains. Plus, Obama tailored his Porkulus spending to mostly be implemented heading into the 2010 elections which would artificially inflate the economy for a short while.

We shall see
