Seriously, yeah, it is a lot of money but once these companies are up and running and selling product, as mentioned in the story, the future products could become more affordable to a larger population. Why they didn't do this with GM, I don't know. It seems more logical but maybe the thoughts are that the two American companies can prosper and take away marketshare from foreign competition?
