Why did the the National Intelligence Estimate say IRAN was so far away?

Why did our President with knowledge last year campaign on "talking" to Iran? Why did our President with this knowledge not offer IMMEDIATE support to the dissenters after that sham of an election? Why did he leave a voice of dissent against an enemy hanging? Why he does have offer no hope for democracy around the globe? (Honduras & the Iran dissenters)

Why does it appear the world has acquiesced to IRAN?

Why does the press not understand the ARABS are in fear of the Persians/Iranians?

Why in last weeks demonstrations in Iran when the govt supporters chant "Death to Israel" the dissenters chant "Death to Russia" that is not being reported?

The Arabs want Israel to take care of Iran and Hamas. They will increase oil production IF Israel attacks Iran. They did absolutely NOTHING when Israel popped Hamas in the spring.

the career Democrat Hacks in the government intelligence agencies 'nuked' Bush's political capital in 2007 when they leaked portions of the NIE that claimed Iran stopped trying to get Nukes in 2003. THe media/Dems ignoring the other parts of the report took that and basically told the world/voters that it was all GOP 'warmongering' every time they stated Iran was trying to get nukes.

that wasn't the only bogus or politicized leak, there were several for years. Resulting in finally bush losing all his political capital.

The espianoge game is highly complicated.

I'm not saying that every decision is correct, but there are certainly reasons for all of them.

It's ludicrous to expect to understand what's going on as an outsider.

I don't think the relationship is really this bad. What is and will happen over the next few years is that the US disengagement with middle eastern countries will grow as the US tries to get more involved in the peace process in the middle east. And, I think that both sides will distance themselves with the US to more or less the same degree. The problem is that none of them can risk associating themselves with a US administration that can't be viewed as credible.

At the same time, they continue to fund Hamas.

Arabs care nothing about Palestinians. Many, if not most, if not all, Arab countries deny entrance to Palestinians.

What's remarkably ironic is the extent to which treatment of Palestinians in Arab world during the middle ages mirrors contemporaneous treatment of Jews in Europe. It's as if both western and Arab worlds have consigned their outcasts to the same narrow band of territory, and directed them to work it out.

Agree but would finish the sentence with "except to the extent they can manipulate their suffering to their domestic or foreign policy advantage".
