let me test your level of Anarchy or "Libertarianism" if you prefer.

The racist Tea-partiers, wait I mean Leftist and Anarchist(so the MSM isn't making a big deal out of it) are raising hell in Pittsburgh. Is what the Police are doing to repeal them Pro-Liberty or Anti-Liberty and why?

Same for the rioters throwing Molitov Cocktails at the GOP convention last year or any case like this?

I like Coyote's take on this

Quote:I must say that I do find it interesting that a few heated verbal exchanges and one guy carrying a gun peacefully somewhere near where the President was speaking is considered a looming threat from the right to civil society while lefties physically clashing with police and destroying property (again near the President) is treated as ho-hum, more leftish rioting. The same bored reaction tends to result from union violence as well. Is it bias, or have we just had years to get used to violence on the left? With memories of Seattle, all subsequent violence I guess seems tame and not worthy of comment.

Whether left or right, racist or anarchist, as long as they are not violent they should be allowed to continue.
When it turns violent, and Molotov cocktails clearly cross that line, they should be stopped. And the police should be given great latitude as far as what it takes to stop them.

This.

I believe laws should be only written to cover..theft,fraud and violence. Anything else that is a personal choice and does not harm another person is none of my business.

I guess that's part of the problem with labels - anyone can use them.

(Even if I can't spell them).

Lord Stanley, if you don't mind me asking, I'm curious to see Hobbes on this list. From what I remember (and it's been awhile) he seemed to be much more of a big government totalitarian type than the other two on the list (I believe he was using Leviathan as a compliment when refering to the government). Is he there because it's no fun when everyone gets along or is my memory perhaps not as good as it used to be (darn beer)?
