the groupthink committee at ESPN will not be happy about this, and in amazing time. Just 9 months into the One's reign he see's the light. My opinion of sports reporters inches up a notch, however from a pretty low level.
Hating on The One aside, anyone agree with his points on Vick at the end?

Steven A is great. He plays no favorites, and gives no one a break. However, I think he's playing with his career by commenting on politics. He is usually on pMSNBC's Dylan Ratigan show.
I wouldn't say that he has turned on Obama, I just think he has had the same type of enlightenment as I have. I am totally for the man at this point but against most of his policies. As far as healthcare, it could be that Obama is not going for total control, but it could set the precedent for the next person to come in and take forward.
His stance on the conservative message is also in the lines of my own. Republicans seem to keep their message in the confines of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, DC, other places in Mid-America, and recently Alaska. All except for one of those are known for their lack of minorities. They need more people like the late Jack Kemp who isn't afraid to go into Chicago, NYC, Baltimore, or a Richmond and speak. That lack of travel has kept the base homogenous.

Agree with you Nomad, except that I can't say I'm "totally" for Obama because I find his policies so misguided and dangerous. I would love to see him do well. I think there's nothing that would do America more good than to have an effective president from any historically disadvantaged group, but I just don't see any way that the road he is going down can lead to anything but ruin.

Now Robert !!!!!!! If you listen to Stephen Smith, who is a Strong, Proud Black Man who has seen the Conservative need in this Nation, you just learned something.
He is not a Racist and he is straight forward and tells it like it should be told.
Bill Cosby just got Jack Slapped so bad it has changed his name by this man Stephen Smith.
Now Robert, if you listened to this Video, you just heard a "Great Black Man" say what needed to be said and said it very directly and in an absolute manner.
It is what I have been saying all along .... "Using the Race Card at every turn simply diminishes the meaning and is 100% Counter Productive".
There are a lot of conservative blacks in this country. Clearence Thomas, JC Watts, Michael Steel, Lynn Swann, Condi Rice and others. Obama didn't get all the black vote in this country. The fact that the Democratic party calls any one who disagrees with Obama a racist shows how bad they can't defend his policies. Instead of explaining the health care plan in detail they insult anyone who ask a question about the bill and the governments ability to pay for it.
Thanks for posting that, I'm just thrilled and impressed with the interview. Hey Stephen, welcome to the party pal. The Conservative movement has a new inductee with a huge voice...woohooo. Damn I hope he winds up in politics.

He sure as hell didn't get mine, that's a fact Jack.
I won't bother watching the video, but it has nothing to do with Obama or politics. I cannot stand Stephen A. Smith. I didn't like him as a writer and the first time I saw his act on TV, I thought, no thanks.

You might want to change your mind and give it a listen.
The man is dead-on with his message and it speaks volumes as to this silly back-biting and Race Baiting that keeps permeating every nuance of the Father Barack trailblazing to Social Utopia.
All Smith is saying is, "Step Back, Look Around, and See What Is Real and what is Manufactured as far as Racism and Charging everyone that brands other Racist simply because they disagree with Father Barack's Political Policies.
I would ask that you at least hear the man out since he IS a man of color and knows the Black Mans side of this issue.
