17-3 now SC, thanks to a penalty that kept a Gamecock drive alive. FAU is now running well on SC and threatening. Late second quarter.

Chris Bonner take a Rusty Smith pass, beats a tackle and dances down the sidelines for a 27-yard TD pass. FAU 10 - South Carolina 17. 4:25 to play in the second quarter.

It's quiet in Columbia right now.

RE: FAU at South Carolina
Jason Harmon catches one over the middle to the SC 43, then Smith passes to Bonner to the 36. Late hit by SC moved the ball to the SC 21. Then pass and broken tackles as Joseph runs to SC 4! 1:00 to play in half.

FAU runs to SC 3. Then Smith fakes hand-off and throws to a wide open Jamari Grant in left end zone corner.

But the Owls missed the PAT!

FAU 16 - SC 17 ... Halftime.

No doubt.

Im very happy, the O is moving the ball and looking good, and the D has stepped it up.

I said I wanted 17-21 points and no injuries and I'd be happy. I stick tot hat.

Win would be gravy.

RE: FAU at South Carolina
SC scores on a short run, thanks to a long pass. Defenders went for the tackle instead of the ball. They could have broken it up. 24-16 SC. Early third quarter.

RE: FAU at South Carolina
FAU gets into SC territory and almost scores on a bomb (dropped pass) and then punts. SC has ball at its own 10. Mid-third quarter.

And so it begins....03-banghead

They adjust to whats working for us in the 1st half, and we dont change our play calling, ergo, they pull away.

Still happy with 16 points ATM.04-rock

FAU drives into SC territory again and then two sacks (one in which Smith fumbled) result in SC with the ball on the FAU side of the field.

RE: FAU at South Carolina
FAU suddenly is not wrapping up and flailing at the RBs. Smith has to be more careful with the football. If that long FAU bomb was caught a few minutes ago, this would have been a different game.

FAU drives to SC 31. The owls get into Gamecock territory seemingly every time they have the ball.

RE: FAU at South Carolina
Interference on crucial third-and-seven play gives FAU ball at SC 15. Morris runs an end-around to SC 5. Run to 4.
End of third quarter: FAU 16 - SC 38.
