Steele updates his predictions every week. After Troy's loss to BGSU and ASU's 60+ win over MVSU, Steele has ASU going 8-0 in the Sun Belt and Troy in 2nd place going 7-1 with a loss to Arkansas State. The rest of the media has taken Troy out of the first place spot as well. Troy will have to step it up to beat the like of ASU, FIU, and Middle in their first three conference games.

Good press for ASU, we just hope you lose when we play you.

I'm an ASU fan and I will tell you that our win last week proved nothing. I'll have to see this team against a better team before I start talking conference championship.

I agree statefan.....anyone that would change their preseason predictions over our win (1-AA) shouldn't be writing columns.

#1. We know from experience that Arkansas State has issues the last half of the season 16-26 in final six games of the regular season under Roberts, winning record last half of the year only once.
#2. ASU has played only one decent game on the road against FAU and MT and travels to both.
#3. Troy has appeared dead more than once in non-conference play only to rise like a brain eating marching zombie band come league play.
#4. No team has made it through league play unscathed since 2004 and we've added more games to the schedule.
