Another Camille Paglia column

Quote:But affluent middle-class Democrats now seem to be complacently servile toward authority and automatically believe everything party leaders tell them. Why? Is it because the new professional class is a glossy product of generically institutionalized learning? Independent thought and logical analysis of argument are no longer taught. Elite education in the U.S. has become a frenetic assembly line of competitive college application to schools where ideological brainwashing is so pandemic that it's invisible. The top schools, from the Ivy League on down, promote "critical thinking," which sounds good but is in fact just a style of rote regurgitation of hackneyed approved terms ("racism, sexism, homophobia") when confronted with any social issue. The Democratic brain has been marinating so long in those clichés that it's positively pickled.

You going to go flame her now Artifice? 03-lol

RE: Another Camille Paglia column
its why the elites and those in the majority of the media like them are just one big groupthink tribe, that in their denial will go so far as to coverup a self-professed Racist/Communist/Truther whackjob all out of either disbeleif and protecting dear leader.

It was always the goal of the commies to do this to us via taking over Education, which they have incrementally done. Bill Ayers is smiling today.

The failed educational system at it's finest. From a registered Democrat at that. I just think this is a particularly exact adjective "rote regurgitation of hackneyed approved terms " , that puts political correctness at the core of that failure. Of cource the Failure of the Obama Administration is another example of all fluff and no substance.

She is not just right she is 1,000% right. Here is a quote from Van Jones on education,

Powerline Blog

"I had a professor who encouraged me to apply to Harvard and Yale [for law school], which was almost unheard of for students coming from the kind of public schools that I was coming from in the rural South. I was accepted to both places, and decided to go to Yale because Yale didn't have any grades and was smaller than Harvard. I figured, once I enroll I'm guaranteed to graduate, so I can just go and be a radical hell raiser student, and they can't do anything about it. Which is pretty much what happened. "......

TOTAL LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY because there are NO standards.

My, she really did torch their lack of intellectual seriousness and Van Jones unwittingly confirms it .

Such an article is to be expected from Camille Paglia, who considers herself to be a RFK-Hubert Humphrey Democrat. She is what the Democrats used to be before they started getting taken over by the New Left. She also knows firsthand the absolute snobbery of Ivy League liberalism or should I say, leftism.
