Ok. Enough of the debate. Here are the Official Sun Belt Conference Power Rankings after week one:

1.) UNT - past is not prologue
2.) ASU - 61-0 v. anybody; nough said
3.) UL - Another convincing win over an FCS (:ncaabbs: plus >41,000 )
4.) ULM - no backing down at #2 Texas
5.) MTSU - showed up at Clemson
6.) FAU - good stat's didn't translate to the scoreboard
7.) Troy - high expectations = big let-down
8.) WKU - good 1st Q., disappeared for final 3
9.) FIU - no data.

Well, there it is guys...rip away at it.

Agreed. A pleasant surprise.

Even I'm not ready to declare us back, or at the top of the league at this point... But it's very nice (if a little premature) to see other folks in the conference saying so. Especially as opposed to what we'd been hearing all offseason.

It's premature to be ranking teams isn't it? I know it happens but still some teams haven't even played a game yet.

It's a work in progress. But no, it's not too early, every week the ranking will change depending on results and prior game. Also notice the team that hasn't played isn't ahead of anybody.

Yeah, but we're below people! That's the problem. How are we worse than someone who lost their game?!

OK, it doesn't really bother me...I understand why we're last here(we should not be in it). I'm just backing up my team!

I'm glad we got points for showing up. If those buses had broken down, who knows where we'd be.

Looks about dead on to me. We will see what changes their will be after week 2.

Very good job, FIUFan...looks like a very fair assessment of how things went on in week 1.

I probably would have put FIU smack dab in the middle.
