This mofo got 50 years for a prior kidnapping and rape. It was a federal crime since he took the victim across state lines. He only served 11 years. the fed's totally screwed this up. He was supposed to serve a sentence in another state upon his release and nobody bothered to see that it happened.

I agree with GT that the prisons have too many non-violent offenders in them. There needs to more room for mofos like this to serve ALL their time.

I do not know what the solution is..probably a combination of ideas..but this type of stuff is inexcusable. This situation is the direct result of a failed system...and yet...NO ONE will be held accountable for this.

What I worry about is this will "justify" more illegal searches.

"We had a neighbor report some suspicious activities out back. We need to take a look. This is considered a Jaycee Alert from the 2010 Dugard Safety Act."

many of the drug dealers in prisons are violent offenders also, its just alot easier to convict on drug charges which is an unspoken reality of it. There is a reason the big fish get a pass while the low level thugs on the street get busted often for it.

And violent video games were the claim of <insert name of school shooter here>.

You want to put blame where it duly belongs, start with the *******'s parents. He should have been medicated longggg ago. Also acceptable is the legal system for paroling him. Violent criminals should be put away for a very, VERY long time without parole. Most drugs should be legal, but if we're going to do this drug circle jerk bullsh*t, we should simply FINE everybody caught with them.

I don't agree with that. I think drugs are conducive to the environment of prison, which is a really ****** place to be (hence desire for drug use) and oh yea it's full of druggies already.

Moreover, I do not agree, even assuming you're right, with the concept of busting people for petty stuff because you can't get them for serious crime. It's like busting Al Capone for tax fraud. You can probably convict almost everybody of tax fraud of some type, due to the inane stupidity of our never-ending tax code. How confident are YOU of *flawless* tax filings every year for the last decade?

Tax Cheats don't get thrown in jail, Tax evaders do, after a long due process. You got to get a jury to convict, which is not always easy. Tax Cheats have to PAY OUT THE ASS if caught, they don't get much due process.

Thinking that allowing drugs to be legal will solve any problems is IMO only going to make things worse. Think of the kids. A new study out says that if Parents drink or do drugs around their children, their children are twice as likely to become drug addicted. Think about a generation of drug addicted people. Children of the Corn.

I just read a New York Times story that featured the woman's aunt. It was very uplifting and heartwarming to read about how this young woman and her two children are dealing with the aftermath, and, while the horrors of the past 18 years certainly can't be forgotten, to realize that, for at least one parent, a lost child did come home again.

I will continue to pray for this family's healing. It's never going to be complete, but I do hope it continues to progress. I don't think one could ever recover from what this woman has endured.
