Russian puppet master understands economics better than the President of the United States



Russian strongman Vladamir Putin thinks Barack Obama’s plan to raise taxes on American business is nuts. Just plain nuts.

Yes, you read that correctly. The power behind the Russian throne understands capitalism better than the President of the United States.

Here’s how the Moscow Times reports it:

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Monday criticized U.S. President Barack Obama’s plan to raise taxes on U.S. companies’ foreign operations, saying it would amount to double taxation that will hurt the global economy.

“This is a serious decision for the world economy,” Putin said at a meeting of the Presidium, the government said on its web site. “If taxes are imposed on all companies working abroad, then it will mean the total destruction of the system for avoiding double taxation.”

This should come as no surprise. Communists never understand economics as well as former communists.

He's saying that because he thinks it will hurt the Russian economy. Otherwise he wouldn't care. And just because he disagrees with Obama doesn't automatically make him right and Obama wrong, although every conservative on this board seems to think that. Putin's pretty good at authoritarian leadership too, perhaps Obama could pick up some pointers?

Prediction: it won't hurt the Russian economy nearly as much as it will hurt the American. If it happens I would anticipate the departure of 200-300 of the Fortune 500. Minimum.

I don't know, the Russian Economy is currently in shambles much worse than the US, thanks to the US Recession mostly. the USA is the worlds economic epi-center

Russia has like 40% of the Worlds Resources, yet can't for the life of them figure out how to use them to the betterment of themselves and the world.

The reason that they are lost on this very common sense point, seems so simplistic until it hurts.

The old U.S.S.R. and now Russia, have always been so busy building up their Military, until they lost site of all the Gifts they have in the form of Natural Resources and thus, have no real experience in producing or even gathering these resources.

They are still too busy diddling with trying to keep a Top Notch Military together to look in most any other direction except to Conquer and Occupy.

As far as I can see, Russia would rather have a Grade 'A' Military so they can invade, occupy, and steal other neighboring countries already working Natural Resource Gathering Productions, rather than bother with Perfecting Their Own abilities at cultivating what they have.
