“living within our means, means nothing.”
As California goes, so does the country. Get ready for higher taxes.

Quote:During the heated tax debate, Budget Conference Committee member Senator Alan Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) offered his hesitant support for the new tax proposals by saying that the state should do everything to “live within its means.” In an effort to seemingly admonish Senator Lowenthal for his hesitant support for the tax measures, Budget Conference Committee Chairwoman Noreen Evans (D-Santa Rosa) closed the debate by saying that as far as the state is concerned, “living within our means, means nothing.”

“New taxes are not an option for closing the budget gap. The proposals that Democrats cooked up do not reflect the demands of working Californians. The Chairwoman’s inflammatory comments, “living within our means, means nothing,” will not be taken well by the 2 million unemployed Californians that currently do not have any means to live by,” Budget Conference Committee Member, Walters commented this morning.

So she's honest. It's pretty clear that expression has meant nothing to nearly all politicians for decades. Those words are meaningless to them.

Objectively, to live within your means, don't you have to produce something of value?

.

Why do you NEVER hear that the Super Influx of Illegals into California and all the Freebie Perks they were given in that State has had a lot to do with their Dire Problems as we speak.

I mean does the TRUTH hurt that badly ?????

Geeze people, the writing is on the wall and no one will even mention it ... not even the Conservative Talking Heads (at least some of them won't).

Does this note Bode to our plight if we turn Health Care over to Obamagog and Krew just like we have Turned over Banking, Auto Manufacturing, Coal, Tobacco, and just about every thing else on the planet - - and so far, it ain't looking too well for the Boys in DC (even though they think so).

It think it's the 8th largest, but I could be wrong. Anyway, since this state has the highest taxes in the country, which would equate to the largest state budget, where does the money go and why the threat to make taxes even higher?
