Gathering in your home is illegal....in San Diego....
County Tries to stop a religious assembly.

Quote:A local pastor and his wife claim they were interrogated by a San Diego County official, who then threatened them with escalating fines if they continued to hold bible studies in their home, 10News reported.
*****************

The county employee notified the couple that the small bible study, with an average of 15 people attending, was in violation of county regulations, according to Broyles.

Broyles said a few days later the couple received a written warning that listed "unlawful use of land" and told them to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit" -- a process that could cost tens of thousands of dollars.

The government persecution of the Church begins.

Tax the churches, make 'em pay for the right to participate in politics like everyone else, and our deficit disappears. The money's got to come from somewhere...

We've come along way since Madison and company, one of the famous SCOTUS appointed by Madison:

Quote:Justice Joseph Story:

“ I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society. One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law. . . There never has been a period in which the Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying its foundations.”
[Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States p. 593]

“ Infidels and pagans were banished from the halls of justice as unworthy of credit.” [Life and letters of Joseph Story, Vol. II 1851, pp. 8-9.]

“ At the time of the adoption of the constitution, and of the amendment to it, now under consideration [i.e., the First Amendment], the general, if not the universal sentiment in America was, that Christianity ought to receive encouragement from the state, so far as was not incompatible with the private rights of conscience, and the freedom of religious worship.”[Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States p. 593]

Now they want to turn the First Amendment on its head

Maybe they should have claimed they were hosting Obama grassroots meetings.

"Environmental impact"? Sheesh!

Oh, I know! Has anyone cracked down on those meetings? Every bit as religious as a Bible Study...

Anyway, I believe, and I mean this sincerely, that these county officials should be forced to write the 1st Amendment 100 times on a blackboard outside of the county courthouse...then they should be put in stocks for 2-4 hours.

I wonder if it's illegal to have conference calls without a permit?

Damn busy body bureaucrats! I perfectly understand why this occurred. This bureaucrat knows the truth...You do NOT own your property. He knows he has the power to do just about whatever he wishes on YOUR property since he is its overseer. The madness of government and its control of our lives will never stop...until we stop it by withdrawing our financial support and choosing to live our lives as WE see fit.

Most large churches do more community service than United Way ever dreamed of. Plus United Way showed it's political activism by withholding contributions to the Boy Scouts of America for not allowing Homosexual Men access to young boys. (no matter what you think Gay Men have no more business being Boy Scout leaders than Straight Men do being Girl Scout leaders).

Finally the only "REVERENDS" I ever hear publicly endorsing politicians are people like "REVEREND" Wright, Jackson, Sharpton, et. al. do the math on which political party that band of thugs support.

And few people want to believe that Anti-Christ is on the scene ...

Boy what a rude awakening some are going to have or either an orgasm over their chance at pure evil power.

Either way, we are headed to a Civil War that is going to make Napoleons campaigns look like a day at Disney World.

This is already way out of hand and the "Government Thug Mentality is At Hand".

Yeah Robert, we know how you feel so just don't bother wasting your time replying.

RE: Gathering in your home is illegal....in San Diego....
Quote:BONITA, Calif. -- A local pastor said the County has cited him for hosting a weekly Bible study in his home. The County said visitors who drive to those meetings are affecting traffic in the neighborhood.

Pastor David Jones has been hosting weekly Bible studies at his Bonita home during the past five years. About 15 people attend the meetings, he told 10News.

Jones said a visitor to a neighbor's house called the County after a Bible study member hit the visitor’s car while leaving. Shortly after, a county code enforcement officer gave him a citation that said he needed a permit to host the weekly Bible study meetings, he said.

Jones and his attorneys said he shouldn't have to get a permit for what he does inside his house. "We think it is clearly permissible. We think this is a violation of our constitutional rights," Jones told 10News.

A County spokeswoman says the County is concerned with parking and its impact on the neighborhood.

The two sides met Wednesday but resolved nothing.

Jones said they're scheduled to meet again on June 9.

What does affecting traffic mean? If there are a total of 15 people there then the max # of vehicles would be 15, but I suspect it is more like 6 or 7. So how does that affect traffic? My neighbor has 7 cars of his own parked in front of his house.

Shouldn't matter. If it's a public street and they're parked legally then no harm, no foul. If they're parked illegally they get ticketed. There's probably more to this than we know.

Yeah, there is ....

It is called Hitler Revisited and what we are seeing patrolling the streets of America are once good Cops being pushed or taught from the Academies to be good Nazi's, Gestapo, and SS Thugs.

There may be a love fest going on with this guy in DC right now, but I believe when the Window Dressing is taken away, all this will quickly change.

Boy the guy goes to Britain and the Queen JUST LOOOOOOOOOVES them too bleedin' death ... so much so that Michelle was just about to start Fisting the Old British Matriarch and the Queen is allowing it.

Of course this was after her husband, Hussein bent over to the Saudi Kings Knees and sucked his ring finger for 5 minutes .... I mean freaky sex with these two must be a real problem, "Logistically Speaking of course".

Now the Queen wouldn't spit on either one of them if they were on British Fire for snubbing her with the D-Day Celebration thingy.

Way to go Hussien & Napoleon !!!!!!
