Hey, The Refs made the right call, nothing else could be done. it is unfortunate, but that's mother nature. Congratulations to Middle ! WKU, you will get an NCAA Invitation anyway, and that is the most important thing. Now, if a lower seed can win the Conf. Tourney, we might get 3 teams in the Dance.

i'm not so sure we do get in if someone other than wku or mtsu win the tourney.

we finished poorly. ridings is not killin' like he did last year. hightower is not dominant. our year was built on our weekend pitching and far and away the best defense in our league.

it's amazing what finwood has done in his short time here turning around a program that was pretty down to one that is the champion this year. i hope he sticks around awhile as i love a good defense and he's very agressive with his base-running.

i'd love to see us go to the ncaa two years running but unless we right the ship in troy (and last year proves any seed can win it) i could see an early round exit as a reason to keep us out. not saying it would be right...i can see it happening.

After the storm passed, the field was dotted with puddles and was deemed unplayable - especially considering more rain was expected after the game was called at 4:36 p.m.

Playing today was not an option, because the season had to be wrapped up by Saturday night in the interest of SBC Tournament preparations.

“The last thing you want in the world to do is go out there and slop around, then all of a sudden have one of your guys get hurt in addition to that,” Finwood said. “At that point, when the field got to that condition, I think they made the right decision. Unfortunately, it got to that condition.”

The real SBC Champion is Southern Miss, who went 9-2 vs. the Belt. Aren't the seedings based on winning percentage ?

As big a WKU fan as I am, I agree. The Toppers have NOBODY to blame but themselves. If they would have taken care of business like they should have it would not have come down to Mother Nature.

Some do some don't. I consider both of you regular season champs. The real champ will be decided on the field in Troy.
