Anyone who describes anything done by the administration as a "war criminal" is really ignorant of what that means. You demean any further comment you make by being so ignorant. She came out against waterboarding... someone asked why she didn't say anything when it was brought up before... she said it wasn't... the CIA says it was and give the date and the meeting... Now, knowing that the actual words of the meeting are secret, she says they lied about it.

the potential "crime" is not in the knowing or not knowing. It is in potentially making an intentionally false statement... an accusation of a government official. Now, it may not rise to the level of a crime... I'm not an expert... but it is certainly a generally accepted wrong thing for a public official to do.

You are free to believe what you want, but to believe that waterboarding wasn't discussed by Congress as a means of gaining information is ignoring the truth. The administration prepared a legal brief in 2002... It was released in 2004 in response to the same question. Where have her objections been since then? Now, if you want to argue that the administrations opinion was wrong, fine... that their argument was flawed, then fine... but that doesn't make it a war crime. They did exactly what they were supposed to do... They consulted with our government's legal counsel.

Our country does not, and never has operated on the basis of getting public approval for everything... the simple question is... did they follow the law... and the answer is yes. Pelosi may NOT be following the law by lying...

It is a federal offense to lie to congress or under oath. If Pelosi was being lied to by the CIA, she could have had them prosecuted. Don't believe me, ask Bill Clinton.
