Everyone gets a turn, But I dont think either FAU or FIU has played them yet.

I know there is a rumor of Navy being a football only member of the SUnbelt floating around on GTT.

I dont know much about the service academy programs but if true what would Navy bring to the confrence in terms or prestiege, revenue, and credility?

well first of all they would become our marquee program instantly. they'd bring some credibility to the conference, as well as probably a second bowl tie-in (third if you count the fact the Armed Services Bowl and the EagleBank Bowl LOVE to invite service academy teams).

it would be very good for business.

Navy will never join the SBC. What would be in it for them?

easier scheduling? maybe it would be easier to have a conference schedule games for you than to keep trying to make what pretty much amounts to a 12-game OOC schedule for Navy. other than that i don't see much in it for them

Being in the SBC would hurt there strength of schedule. Sure they would have 8 games made out for them by the conference, but I personally would rather pick who I got to play. Do you think Troy would play 8 SBC teams a year if it had a choice.
