to Duffy's. That place has LOST its luster for mre. The service has been terrible and the food mediocre. I hope FAU picks a new place for the watch parties this year.

I'm surprised that FAU hasn't landed a ESPN2 game yet. The Troy at FAU game was on ESPN2 last year wasn't it?

I am too, but in a way also not.

I think we were on ESPN 3 times last year in some incarnation:

MTSU (Tuesday)
Troy (Tuesday)
Michigan State (Saturday)

Being that we underperformed from expectations last year, Ill bet that ESPN was a little hesitant to push us too much.

I hope my owls get back, I know the TV sucks when they move it to a weeknight for attendance, but I do think the exposure is worth it.

ESPN has a lot to market with an FAU game - Schnelly, two straight bowl games, Florida weather, etc.

Maybe ESPN will do the Shula Bowl. Both teams could be in nice shape by then.

FAU at Troy will be a good one as well.

As for Duffy's (a South Florida sports bar/restaurant chain), I like it. I get the points on my Duffy's card, which translates into savings, the staff is generally good, there's a good late 2-for-1 happy hour (watched FAU beat Central Michigan in the Motor City Bowl there) and there are two locations west of West Palm (where I live).

i think the Palladium and the Troy - FAU game should both be on ESPN2 Thursday Night PrimeTime every season. Those two games are the Sun Belt's premier exhibition games IMO.

Problem with that is ... Troy could not fill the stadium for the 'Belt championship game with FAU, and the stadium might not look good; FAU would not fill its stadium due to traffic and other issues; the visiting fans would not show (too far, requiring too much time off); and the atmosphere would be less than electric.

I agree BM, I was surprised that they didnt pick up one FAU game but perhpas the SunBelt wanted to expose some of its other teams this year.

ShulaBowl is a possiblity. It is late in the year and like you said could be that both FAU/FIU are in the thick of things. I'd love to have the FAU @ TROY game picked up by either CSS or ESPN.

Maybe its just the Duffy's in Boca/Deerfield that sucks. Ive tried both and the service has been terrible.

we need a name for the Troy vs. FAU game. It is developing in to a rivalry equal to that of the Palladium.
