Yeah, lots of alumni in the Bham area. All the faithful I know from up here will be there, including me, if it is played at noon on Wednesday. But it makes it hard when you have to take time off from work, travel with children, and probably end up driving back after the game is over and get up to be at work at 8 the next morning.
I've said it before, but the ONLY reason I was able to make the Missouri game back in 2004 was because my job that week had me at a client in Montgomery. I was planning on leaving Bham as early as I could, and probably miss a little of the 1st quarter. Early that week, several of us were sent down to Montgomery to work, and I was ecstatic. I brought a co-worker with me, met up with my wife and her friends, and had a blast, then had to drive back to the Gump afterwards.
I was able to make it for kickoff at the Ok State game because of the rain delay.
I was able to make it prior to kickoff to the MTSU game because I left work at 3 for the Thanksgiving holidays.
If it ever came up that I could not leave work early, which half of the month is practically impossible, then I'd be missing part of the game.

I'm all up for TV exposure, but this is most likely going to be "Interactive Tuesday" where the announcers don't really watch most of the game, instead they talk about the Top 25 and whose going to win the national championship.
Exactly. Interactive Tuesday is crap. The only reason you get a decent audience is for all the fools sitting there typing messages and watching the scroll at the top to see if it gets aired. No one really cares about the game going on, including the announcers. Remember the FAU/Troy broadcast last year?
