He may get another chance but will be on a very short leash.

From the articles sounds like this was strike 2 albiet for a differnt offense then the first.

That is the impression I got as well, but apparently the practice suspension he is serving was a result of the DUI, not some other (non-existent) altercation. This was his first strike (and hopefully his last).

Maybe he'll get his trial postponed until January so he can play this season a la Arnika.

My deal is this.... with our move to I-A, we are staring to recruit some more questionable players. Players with more risky academics and character. I guess this is necessary as we climb from 120th in IA. We are trying to get good athletes, and some of them are players passed on by better programs, for various reasons.

I am okay with this, IF they are kept on a short leash and lots of discipline. Giving lots of chances to guys causing repeated problems is a quick way to lose control of your team.

One DUI arrest and we are starting to recruit more risky academic and character problems?
