If your company accepts billions of dollars in loans from the federal government then Washington can tell you how to run your business.

So if China loans the USA billions of dollars do the Chinese have the right to tell Washington how to run their business?

It all depends who has leverage over whom. We have some leverage over China, because the way things are going with ObamaMessiah, he could just default on the loans ans whats China to do about it? On the other hand running a business in the US, you abide by the laws, your leverage is to move your business to China, or someplace else overseas.

Maybe they already are telling us how to run things. That would explain why were becoming more and more like a communist country.

Unfortunately, these are domains where might makes right. The pragmatic answer is much different than the philosophical one.

edit: Note that the World Bank (rightly or wrongly) has for many years been precisely the kind of vehicle whereby powerful nations (the US et al) control debtor nations. Even in this crisis, some nations have made motions to control the US through the World Bank. It's a ***** to be on the wrong side of that now.

Hell, the gubment borrows (steals) thousands of dollars from me every year. I demand socialism for all.

And as we become more and more a debtor country in the coming years, it is going to get worse.
