Her liver looks normal which is rare for a child that is fed TPN. I can't tell you guys how many times I came to the spin room just looking for an escape. You guys will never know how many times a thread here a discussion there helped me pass time. This is a community. I consider many of you friends. I feel like I almost know you guys. It's wierd but I talk to you guys more than I talk to life long friends........ I'm extremely happy. The surgeons are happy. I couldn't have gotten better news. God Bless You ALL!

Great to hear...I will be keeping your family in my thoughts. I know how stressful it is having a sick child. Best regards...Fo

Your daughter had successful surgery, and a close friend of mine gave birth to her second daughter. What a day for kids!

And God bless all of you too.
Sounds like a lot of those blessings are at work already.
That's wonderful.

Mach - congratulations! You've got some beautiful kids and I'm sure you've got great times ahead of you starting now. Post a followup when she goes home...

ps: gotta share the love for the NICU nursing staff. Those folks are amazing people to families that are in real distress (my daughter spent 10 days in NICU with very minor problems, but I feel like I learned more in those 10 days than most parents get to learn in 10 months).

RE: Today's the Day of my Daughter's major surgery
Mach,

my fiance's parents were told by the Doctors to abort her(this was early 80's) because they claimed she didn't have any kidney's. her parents refused and said they'd chance it, good thing since she did in fact have kidney's and that wasn't confirmed until she was born and urinated. to them it was a miracle......I can't imagine, but I'm sure you feel somewhat similar at this point. Congratulations.

A hugely complicated surgery that is a miracle of modern science. God Bless you all.

It doesn't get much better than days like this to see a child healed and another born to loving parents. :clap2:03-thumbsup
