Barney Frank calls Supreme Court Justice a "homophobe"
Which of the below statements is a fact and which one is an attempt at character assassination:

1. Supreme Court Justice Scalia is a homophobe.

2. Barney Frank is a flaming incompetent rump ranger.

(Robert, the correct answer is #2)

Quote:Masscahusetts Rep. Barney Frank called Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia a "homophobe" in an interview released Monday on a gay online news site, and said he hoped a challenge to a federal law widely disliked in the gay community will not be heard before the high court until new justices are seated on the bench.

Frank, who is gay, made the remark in responding to a question about legal challenges to the Defense of Marriage Act. The 1996 law says the federal government and states have no obligation to recognize same-sex marriages even if other states allow them.

"At some point, [the Defense of Marriage Act] is going to have to go to the United States Supreme Court," the congressman, a Democrat, said. "I wouldn't want it to go to the United States Supreme Court now because that homophobe Antonin Scalia has got too many votes on this current court."

Last month a controversial judge on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals declared the 12-year-old law unconstitutional. That's the second time a judge from the notably liberal court has made such a ruling.

But both rulings were administrative in nature and offered no precedent, thus making it unlikely they would be appealed to the Supreme Court. Nonetheless, a judicial marker has been set that has clearly drawn the interest of the gay community.

Scalia is no stranger to personal attacks and is a favorite target for gays because of his dissent in a 2003 case that overturned the nation's consensual sodomy laws.

In that case Scalia held the majority's ruling represented "a massive disruption of the current social order."

He went on to conclude that "the Texas statute undeniably seeks to further the belief of its citizens that certain forms of sexual behavior are immoral and unacceptable, the same interest furthered by criminal laws against fornication, bigamy, adultery, adult incest, bestiality and obscenity."

A representative for Scalia was not immediately available for comment

Scalia is a heck of nice guy, he probably just laughed it off. Barney Frank has gone south with the mouth so much that you can't understand what he says half the time.

Let me see, being called a homophobe by a F@ggot, just really has no meaning. If you are a F@ggot all Heterosexuals are homophobic, are they not..... Except maybe for bi-sexuals.

Well, I would guess both are fact but the way the second was written puts you in the homophobe category too.

Why is it you liberals love to stick labels on us yet when we do it you ***** and moan? Are we supposed to ignore the fact that Frank is a sword swallower the same way you ignored that Bush was a former alcoholic?

BTW, a homophobe either hates or fears homosexuals - I have neither. I simply disagree with their lifestyle and don't want them forcing it on me. You, on the other hand, seem totally content having them force you to accept their values.

Robert, I have a close family member who is gay ....

She just wants a quiet life where she is not in peoples face and she is no radical. She hates these Butt Cheese Freaks because all their screaming and hollering does, is cause her to slide back toward a Closeted World.

And yes Robert, there are Gay People who just want to get on with their lives and THEN there are the Flaming Faggots who love being Flaming Faggots up in everyone's faces .....

We tolerated it for a while and figured they would grow tired of the stupidity, but it was a Virus to them that infected almost everyone it contacted and now, most of the rest of us, are Pretty Damn Sick of the In-Your-Face Faggotism we are slathered with at every turn.

Google for Islamberg Robert, they are needing a Few Worthless Men ....

Yes, they are forcing it on me when there's gay pride all over the place and the state is involved with amending its constitution and a bunch of other stuff. As for equal opportunities, with the exception of being a husband or wife, where are they not equal? BTW, it has nothing to do with the bible (at least not for me) it has to do with basic moral values. Gays don't want to take small baby steps in their attempt to get what they want, they're demanding the majority of the country accept their morals and accept them right now.

For the record, and I've said this before, I have a gay sister and cousine and that hasn't changed my core values.
