Illinois has one of the most liberal abortion laws in the nation. It doesn't explain why kids are doing this as opposed to going to a doctor.
Stupidity is my best guess. When you panic, sometimes you do stupid things. Money may also be an issue.
Maybe the odds are better w/ the medicine.

This would be a hypothesis..... A theory is a well tested hypothesis that has never been disproven. Theories are generally accepted, peer reviewed.....................

So a theory is a hypothesis, yet you criticized me for getting the two mixed up. Hmmm, so I mixed up two things that are equal. That's funny b/c the reflexive property of equalities is 4th grade material, yet you haven't even mastered that. I guess your status in the "scientific community" isn't going to rise...although I'm sure they'll always need someone to bring donuts.
Mach, your brand of simple-mindeness is detrimental to the country. You can expect these sorts of smackdowns to continue if you lack the good sense not to stop challenging me.

OTOH, I think you probably like it. Were you someone I pinned wrestling in HS?

The difference is a hypothesis has not been tested. While a theory has been well tested and is uniformly accepted........................ They are truly different, but you were very civil in your reply to me. I appreciate it.

There are differences, but they dissolve in the more common use of the language.
I would question your definition of theory...look at the history of atomic theory, you'll find plenty of debate, despite tests. Frequently it's successful tests that open debate over a theory b/c some experiments have multiple interpretations of the results.
Quantum theory is still widely debated today.
Moreover, String Theory has no empirical evidence to back it up, not even mentioning its multiple interpretations. It does have mathematical models, often w/ rigorous proofs, as "evidence"...but that's not the same thing.
