Paul M, as usual You have hit the nail on the head. Veterans NEED to get the BEST CARE THE COUNTRY CAN PROVIDE. Lets take the Health Care System from our elected officials and give it to the VETS who rightly deserve it more. It's ante up time. If they want to live under the security blanket the military provides, then they need to KEEP THEIR FU(KING PROMISES TO VETERANS! That includes JOB PREFERANCES.

It comes across as cheesy asking guys to defend this country and then dump the medical bills on private insurers who had nothing to do with anything. This is just so f**king democrat - make the private sector fund what they shouldn't have to. This is essentially a huge tax on insurers.

Expect premiums to go through the roof if Obama makes this happen.

Private insurers paying for it means vets are incurring costs, i.e. co-pays. Also, many policies have a coverage limit on how much the insurance company will pay in a given year. Once that's reached, the person is responsible for the remaining costs. If a vet uses up their coverage amount, they're forced to pay the rest out of pocket.

Many insurance companies have a lifetime maximum too. Once they reach that, they are no longer covered. There are also riders on insurance policies that do not cover injuries due to acts of war.

Well when I get out of the service I don't want anything that I'm promised in my contract to change. Touching my insurance is just as bad, or worse, as touching my GI Bill. I would think that the government would actually try to help vets out more with counseling and stuff like that. We are going completely backwards.
