House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday she is open to introducing a second stimulus bill, but it's too early to determine the size of such a package and the timing on another major economic measure.

“We have to keep the door open to see how it goes,” Pelosi told reporters Tuesday following a House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee hearing on the economy.

But Pelosi said she wanted to give the $787 billion stimulus package passed last month time to work before she starts making promises on a second stimulus. Pelosi also accused the Washington media and cable news establishment of taking an overly critical approach toward the first stimulus — and expecting too much too soon.

This economy could be rebounding right now had they just done that. Instead, we continue to languish because there are morons that ignore basic economics and still believe government can redistribute wealth and stimulate an economy.

You need to head out to where I am and enjoy the highest taxes in the country. We have the highest sales tax, income tax and business tax and that was before Arnie decided to raise them even higher. The sales tax in LA is going to be 10%, there will be a surcharge on income taxes (meaning the more you pay in income taxes the more you will pay in extra income taxes) the cost of a car registration will double and fees for some services will sky rocket. I think Arnie also wanted to tax services like veterinary care, rounds of golf, and the cost of hiring a plumber to clean out your crapper.

These taxes and fees will hit everyone including the ones who can least afford it. Robert, the higher taxes mean that Welfare moms will buy less crack and tall 40's unless we raise taxes in order to increase their payments.

Why don't just let Americans print their own money on an inkjet printer. While we are at it, why don't we just start using dollar bills as toilet paper. After all, the dollar bill won't be worth more than toilet paper for very long.
