Expect much ridicule from the idiots here who choose style and being able to speak with a teleprompter over substance and actual experience soon.

I'm not worried at all - every day BO is in office is another day of disaster that I can use to point to the direction he's taking this country. When the Dow drops below my body weight I'm sure (well, I'm hoping) the libs will start screaming. Mean while, the residents of Alaska are doing much better than most of here in the lower 48.

I don't that would work out so good for your party. Some people who would usually vote republican decided not to vote that way because of her. I say if you go for anyone it would have to be Jindal.

Where was her substance? She displayed less substance than Obama did. She spoke with the style of a crossbreed between a beauty pageant contestant and a soccer mom. It is undeniable that she has experience but what has she done of consequence that separates her from others? She's also ultra-right and that turns even the people of her own party off.

That's unsubstantiated bull****. Conservatives didn't vote that way because McCain was NOT a conservative. Palin brought MANY people back to the pack. Where the F were you during her rallies? She had a TON more people than McCain, who many conservatives believe is a sellout.

Where was her substance? She's the governor of Alaska. She WAS the governor of Alaska. She's the CEO of the state. She HAS executive experience. Where's her substance? There you have it.

Jindal would be ok, but after Romney and Rudi. Steele is a lost cause... caving in to Limbaugh ruined his street cred. I would agree with Reb that Palin was the person the crowds came to see, not McC.

Don't get me wrong, I like Palin and I feel that she is probably a good person. But right now I don't think she's done that good of a job in growing an economy in our largest state and that is what we could probably be looking for in the next president. Now if she can start to set up an economy in Alaska and the economy is as it is predicted to be, she will probably walk into the office if she is granted the nomination.

Ever been to Alaska? It is growing. If you want to compare the two, how's Illinois doing? You voted for Obama, a guy with NO executive experience and, to be honest, no federal legislation experience as he spent most of his time campaigning and voting "present". .....and damn it is showing.

I've been there because I served in Kodiak. Alaska is growing but it the growth is centralized around it's major cities, which don't count for a large amount of the state. It also still has huge amount of unemployed people due to very limited opportunities in those secluded areas, which would count for most of the state from where I stood.

Not Anchorage or Fairbanks. Let's get real here, who in their right mind would really want to f'n live in Alaska? Her job is not to grow the state. It's to sustain the state. To govern the state. To provide for the state. She's done an impeccable job on that front. Growing the state is a secondary benefit. Now, back to Obama.

What has he done to grow Illinois? Bring the crime down? Bring jobs back? I mean, if that was your criteria, it's a little disingenuous seeing as how you voted for Obama as he did none of that. If you're gonna slam Palin on certain points, you can't support another for doing the exact same thing.....unless it was because the candidate was A) black, B) jingled when he walked instead of squished, C) was a Democrat, or D) other. That has nothing to do with substance.

I'm not doing this to put her down, I'm just handing down my opinion. In writing what I wrote about the development of Alaska was not to act like Illinois was that great either and they are paying the price for their historically thuggish government. I voted for Barack because he gained my confidence in reforming our education system which has been f'ed up by both your D's and R's. Unlike most I don't vote for the guy who's on my favorite losing team.

Yeah, that's her. Just dawned on me to check the properties....

Gotta go to bed... Going to Guam in the morning. Going to be at Denny's within 5 minutes of leaving the airport. Those of you who have never lived oversees will never know the thrill, yes THRILL of going to a Denny's, IHOP , Waffle house , Cracker Barrell etc. after being away from the states for a long time!!
Y'all have a great yesterday!

:patriot: :patriot:

Oh yeah, Guam also has the world largest Home Depot!!!! It is AWESOME!!!
Especially when the local hardware store is an ACE hardware, that is just a little bit bigger than a 7-11. :muttering:
