Y'all have a great yesterday!

What a great point - I lived overseas from the early 80's on and off through the late 90's - almost 20 years.

I wasn't so much enamored with American food, but completely floored everytime I came back to the States and saw and rode in American cars.

Can you imagine growing up driving around in your family car (Mazda 323) and having Grandpa and Grandma pick you up in a Buick?

It was like being picked up by the Space Shuttle.

Gotta go to bed... Going to Guam in the morning. Going to be at Denny's within 5 minutes of leaving the airport. Oh yeah, Guam also has the world largest Home Depot!!!! It is AWESOME!!!
Especially when the local hardware store is an ACE hardware, that is just a little bit bigger than a 7-11. :muttering:

Guam used to have the world's largest McDonald's, too. Not far from the airport. Is it still there? I'm guessing there's been a larger McDonald's built somewhere by now. It was also run by McDonald's Australia, and they seem to have better quality control than the rest of the McDonald's chain.

McDonald's: the symbol of American "Imperialism" abroad, one in which the market in these foreign countries choose to accept while bitching about it at the same time.

I spent 4 years in Puerto Rico and even though it's a US territory fairly close to the mainland the culture was vastly different than what I experienced in NJ before I moved there.

PS....I was going to include that living in a place that spoke a language I didn't speak, Spanish, was also a shock but when I moved from PR to So Cal I found that it's just as bad here - seriously.

Picked.

Expect much ridicule from the idiots here who choose style and being able to speak with a teleprompter over substance and actual experience soon.

And those like me that will not vote for a biblical literalist. Hook your ladder to her if you wish at your own peril. She offers ZERO to independent voters. Maybe she can remake herself. Politicians are good at changing in order to get votes.05-stirthepot

Pick one.

One is just as much of a power hungry control freak as the other. Take your pick. You still lose.03-lmfao

Really? A Biblical literast? You have a problem with what someone does in their PRIVATE life, Fo? Kinda shows you as a hypocrite, no? Palin just appointed a pro-choice female judge. Sell crazy someplace elese. Her personal convictions don't conflict with her governing. She is EXACTLY what we need.

Fortunately...My vote is MY VOTE...MY opinion is MY OPINION. and you are equally obliged to yours. If this is the star of the GOP...they are doomed. I don't try to sell anyone on scumbag politicians...I already know that the color of their stripes does not make them all of a sudden an animal that I don't fear.

ObamaMessiah's biggest hurdle was to get elected, NOT GOVERN. We are all feeling a little foolish about how this miscarriage of politics is bringing down the Country.

Jindal is toast. His past admission(published in the 1994 Oxford Review) that he and members of his "prayer group" performed an actual exorcism on a fellow female classmate that they thought was possessed should be enough to shine the light upon this creepy scumbag politician.

Jindal....leadership...Hope...The American Way!....If you don't act right I'll beat your ass in the head with a bible and drive that demon out out you!...03-lmfao03-lmfao03-puke
