RE: New Sunbelt Football Stars
For FIU (from our board):

Winston Frazier:He, is an flat out a football player, saw him play in high school and I believe he along with the rest of the BTW 4 were underrated even though as a team they were one of the best defenses in the country. From what some friends told me he was making plays all over the field in practice, and with his added size at 6'2 230 and growing I think he can add much needed size to the linebacking corp. I would like to see him come into the fall at 240 and play MIKE and allow SB to play SAM and Pooh Bear [if ready] to play WILL backer spot . He should be a Beast on the field and I think might be our best backer size of D-End runs like DB.

Edgar Theliar:JC WR star runs a 4.4 is 6'3" and has great hands, should provide a nice down the field complement to TY Hilton and would free up Ellingson on the inside.

Darriet Perry: RB, ate up the FAU defense during our games and should be the starting RB for FIU next year. He is pretty quick and was very effective in the last 3 games of the season when he had to be used because the senior starters were injured.

Larvez Mars: Highest rated recruit to come to FIU, want to see if he will live up to the hype like TY did last year.

Go F I U!

FIU will one day be one of the most dominant teams in the Sun Belt Conference. they are in a great market and have a huge student body, it's just a matter of time.

RE: New Sunbelt Football Stars
If market size mattered that much, FAU would have a full stadium and national ranking (probably some day soon), as would UCF, some West Midwest and Northeast programs. It helps, but it not all that. FIU is up and coming but appears to have a lot of students with no interest in football, a market with too many alternatives, and a large off-campus enrollment.

I didn't say their market was the only reason, but it will help. i think FIU will boom one day.
