Denver fans ?
http://www.pioneerfans.com/viewforum.php...5295838692

Their board is listed above. You would have thought after all of these years that we'd have just a few Denver fans.

How can we get them involved?

They are the only SBC program that does not have an active message board.

I can't find anyway to let Denver fans know about this site. We also need to get some UNT fans in here if anyone has an account over on GoMeanGreen.com.

Thanks ManzanoWolf. That's a big help. Now maybe we'll see a boost in UNT fans.

Their message board is listed in my first post. I think they also have a hockey message board somewhere that is fairly active.

I know they are trying to get more folks involved, according to their announcer Mitch Hyder. You may want to email Mitch and he can send that on to whomever it may concern.

I follow DU hockey. SBC fans should really try and get a hockey team going. DU is a national powerhouse when it comes to hockey (7 national championships, most recent 2005). It would be really good if SBC school added hockey, they could do a 3 school hockey road trip in Colorado (Denver, Colorado College and Air Force).

The Sun Belt schools aren't really in a region where hockey is popular, so I doubt that would happen anytime soon.

I know Middle Tennessee has a hockey club but it is not sanctioned by the NCAA. They do play alot of other universities from the north and west looking at their schedule.

RE: Denver fans ?
Denver is primarily a hockey school, and the vast majority of DU sports fans do check the fan-gnerated the http://www.letsgodu.blogspot.com every day, but the content there is 95% hockey related, since that is our big sport. DU fans also post on the US College Hockey online (http://www.uscho.com) message board, but that is also 95% hockey related.

DU basketball is still in the infancy of growing a fan base, as Colorado is not a great basketball area - none of the schools here (CU. CSU, Air Force, DU, UNC) really have a great basketball success rate, and no one here averages more than 4300 fans per game in the whole state.

This year, Denver has the youngest hoops team in all of D-I (18.9 years old, no seniors, one playing junior) and while the team has done well at home, the Pioneers have yet to win a road game since 2006 (although many of the road games have been close).
