RE: Gronowski Verbal
First team Ohio at DB, runs the 40 in 4.6 6'3, 205 might be a LB rather than DB, looks like a good overall athlete. See stats tab on link from Ohio scout. Air Force means he has his academics in order.
This staff like the old staff seems to like Cleveland area.

Yes Nickle there's a full time job as EMU recruiting analyst at Scout Rivals etc for you. No one works the google as well you do.
Here's what I could find on Rivals:
Garrett Gronkowski
Safety
Avon (OH) Avon
Ht: 6-foot-3
Wt: 190 lbs
Forty: 4.72 secs
Class: 2009 (High School
Garrett was not in the Scout.com database and unranked via Rivals.

RE: Gronowski Verbal
I've seen Gronowski play every game of his career, since my nephew was on the same team. He is a fluid and gifted athlete. Makes it all look effortless and hits like a ton of bricks on defense. He will be a great player for EMU. Runs a legit 4.55/4.6. That 4.7 was at a camp last winter. He was not in Scout or Rivals, but colleges all over the country asked for film. His dad was a D1 baseball pitcher at Cornell and is in their Hall of Fame, so the kid has the genes. He can easily bulk up to 220 and maybe play OLB someday, or be a big safety.
I've seen Payne and Gillett play a few times as well, and if Ron English makes a habit of going into Ohio and getting top Ohio kids like Gillett, Payne and Gronowski...and treats them well, Ohio coaches will steer players to EMU and that program can really take off.

RE: Gronowski Verbal
FYI...Gronowski was named MVP of today's Ohio North/South all-star game. He had two ints and a bunch of tackles. You will soon see that he is a BCS level talent, and had he not missed his junior season...he wouldn't be in the MAC. Coach English and EMU got a real steal. EMU fans are going to love this kid. He's a hitter and a big play guy.
Here's a game article:

Looks like a solid kid, note his comments about the Children's Hospital.
Glad to have him coming to EMU.

RE: Gronowski Verbal
Here's a recent newspaper blog entry from the Cleveland area. I didn't realize Gronowski was already up at EMU taking classes and working out.

I look forward to seeing his college career unfold. He will make his mark in the MAC before he leaves Ypsilanti.
English has the right philosophy, get into Ohio and get good football players.
