OT: AJC investigation: Many athletes lag far behind on SAT scores
AJC investigation: Many athletes lag far behind on SAT scores
Very interesting article how what really goes on at some schools (even some of the so-called prestigious ones) on what type of football player they recruit.
PS. Some folks have wondered why a very good academic institution like UF would need several "Recreation" majors...well, now you know.

Football and men’s basketball players on the nation’s big-time college teams averaged hundreds of points lower on their SATs than their classmates, and some of the gaps are so large they call into question the lengths to which schools will go to win.

nothing surprising there, you are fooling yourselves if you think thletes at any schools have met similar admission standards as the general population. Check your school's football players majors and you will find out that there are a few majors that are prevalent with the team but not the student body

Not surprised at the 2 schools with the most and the one conf with the least.
