As per ESPN sports ticker. Will be announced formally on Monday. What a trade off this is. Auburn gets a bad H.C. from Iowa St and Iowa St gets Auburn's DC. I think both teams made mistakes but time will tell. As a Pitt fan I hope Rhodes does well.

I think Rhodes will do better for Iowa State than Chizik will do for Auburn. Iowa State fans have no expectations. Auburn is another story...

Very good point. I'd say if Rhodes gets a good OC he could do some damage since his defense is usually pretty good. I could see Walt Harris former Pitt H.C. being the OC.

It would be pretty funny to see Rhodes and Harris reverse roles like that but they were definitely a good combination at Pitt and could probably do very well revitalizing Iowa State if they decide to team up again.

Iowa State isn't on any of Pitt's future schedules, but wouldn't that be an interesting match-up now with Rhoads there and possibly Harris there also. Panthers and Cyclones have only played once before, in the 2000 Insight.com Bowl (as it was called then). I was there to see the Panthers lose 37-29.
