"Celebrate Good Times, come on........"
HEY! It's not everyday the Hawkeyes pin a 55-0 football blowout on our archrivals the Goophers. Have a little compassion here.

Northwestern pasted Illinois today, probably ending their bowl hopes. They sure ended with a fizzle-losses to WMU, OSU and NW.

LOL. More traditional this year. No Feta cheese stuffing, although we do have Baklava to supplement the pies.
Going to take my dogs for a lonnnnnnnnnng walk to get their appetites stimulated. I love to see them go crazy as the food cooks and the scents permeate the kitchen. Usually give all canines present for dinner a healthy supper of turkey, all the innards diced up and some gravy. They LOVE it!!

Heh. Baklava is my user name on several message boards, along with the description, "Many layers, all tasty."
Feta cheese stuffing sounds really good. Is it just the regular bread stuffing with feta added, or is it something else?

Oh, I toss in bread, celery, a little spinah, raisins, sometimes wild rice, maybe an olive or two, the usual things. Stuffing is less a recipe than an work of art, IMO.
You'd be surprised how a little Feta accents the taste. First time I heard about it I didn't think it'd taste good. Wrong!

Just finished eating the turkey cooked on the grill...awesome! Family was all here for the holiday and everyone contributed something to the meal. Great day...my favorite holiday of the year.
Best wishes to all the Broncos!

Turkey is so much more delicious than it was when I was a kid 40 years ago. They've bred the birds to be more meaty and moist. Turkey used to be sooooo dry, you had to have gravy just to make it palitable. Not anymore. The meat practically fell off the bird yesterday and it was succulent. You get more meat off a 15 pound bird than you did a 30 pound bird 40 years ago.
Good ole American ingenuity in developing the breed!
